Fact Sheet

This fact sheet was written as a short, informational handout to aid landowners in understanding the concepts and components of implementing prescribed fire. Key concepts covered focus on the tasks and responsibilities before, during, and after burning, as well as a general list of Do’s’ and ‘Don’ts for implementing a prescribed fire program. A short list of resources with additional information is provided as well. 63 copies were distributed to landowners at the Northeast Texas Cattleman’s Conference in January 2020.
