Each year in February, the Kentucky Association of County Agriculture Agents hosts an event called "Country Kitchen". This event is held in Frankfort, the capitol of the state. During the event, legislators and their staff are invited to a lunch which features commodities produced around the state.

The legislators and their staff that attend receive a goody bag which contain information and items related to agriculture in the state. Since many in attendance may not be familiar with what the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service is, the Madison County Horticulture Agent created a publication titled, “What is the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service?” to be included in the goody bag.
