Growing Cut Flowers presentation was given at the Organic Association of Kentucky's (OAK) annual meeting in response to a growing need for cut flower information around the state. There are many new flower farmers as well as produce farmers looking to diversify their operation. Yet little information on how to be successful, or things to consider when starting out, are available. Forty-four people were in attendance for the session, and the Powerpoint is also available online for OAK members to access. One third of the meeting attendees indicated they already grow flowers, another third were brand new farmers, and the remaining were vegetable or livestock farmers looking to expand their operation. At the end of the session attendees reported feeling like they had a better handle on the economics involved in starting a new cut flower operation, as well as where to find more information as they need it. https://luky-my.sharepoint.com/:p:/g/personal/aeam222_uky_edu/EezDEx-HlqBMtsx44FTGmfoBF7XyNvzqG5Evo05IDDIkhg?e=fntfjM Script can be found in "notes".
