The Georgia Paso Fino Horse Association (GPFHA) is an organization that promotes the Paso Fino breed while creating a social platform for members to celebrate their passion of the Paso Fino horse. The majority of members are novice or non-professional horse owners with a desire to learn more about caring for their horses. A tool used by the GPFHA to disseminate information and inform members of upcoming events is an electronic quarterly newsletter. Caitlin Jackson, Monroe County Extension Agent, created a column titled “Ask an Agent” for the GPFHA to answer horse-owner questions for members with non-biased researched information. “Too Many Supplements!” and “Should I blanket my horse?” are examples of the columns that were published in the September 25, 2019 and December 15, 2019 newsletters to provide GPHA members with timely information relevant to seasonal equine production. The newsletter was delivered to 112 members electronically through MailChimp each time it is published..
