"Union County small grain producers are working all hours of the day to harvest what should be a bumper crop this season. Local growers help supply many area flower mills with grain used to make flour, cookies, and crackers that we eat every day."

Andrew Baucom, Union County NC field crops agent, took this picture in a loal wheat field at harvest in June 2019. This picture was included in a monthly digital newsletter that highlights programming activities for the office each month. It is was also posted on the county's Facebook and Instagram page, highlighting the work of agriculture in the County.
